FAMILY NIGHTS

     Family Nigts are for elementary school aged children and their families and are held on several Friday evenings during the school year at the GNPAL Center.

     Flyers with details of Family Nights will be sent home with public and private elementary school students or may be found on this web page. 

    Below are the currently scheduled programs .

Family Science Night

     Returning for the 4th consecutive year, the popular Hands-on Science Night will be on
Friday, March 12 from 6:30 to 8 pm.  Have fun while learning about aerodynamics, Newtons Laws of Motion, gravity, specific gravity and much more.  This program is for elementary school-aged children and their family.

BINGO

     By popular request, a second night of Family BINGO will be held on Friday, April 16 from 6:30 to 8 pm.  A minimum of ten games will be played and BINGO cards will be sold for 10¢ per card.  For children age 5 and up.

GNPAL Chess Club

   Starting on December 2, the new GNPAL Chess Club will meet every Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm immediately following the After-school Tutuoring Program.  For all ages and all skill levels.   For a flyer, click here.

Back Talk for High School Youths

   Conducted in partnership with Communities that Care, this programis for students in grades 8 through 12.  The first meeting was on September 22 and subsequent meetings will be every other Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the GNPAL Center.

Boxing
  Weekdays from 3 to 5p.m.  Call GNPAL to determine if there are any available openings.

Mexican Folk Dancing

     On Monday nights at the GNPAL Center.

After School Program

     Tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning on September 22.  Open gym will be Monday through Friday.

Parenting Program
     This weekly support program for parents is held on Thursday nights at the GNPAL Center and is conducted by the Norristown Family Center.

Youth & Adult Tae Kwon Do

     This martial art teaches physical and mental fitness as well as self defense.  Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

    Youth (ages 5 and up)

  1. Beginners at 5:00 pm
  2. Advanced at 6:00 pm

    Adults from 7:00 to 8:00 pm

$20/month + GNPAL Membership

Indoor Lacrosse

    Sign up for Winter Indoor Lacrosse will be on December 3 and 10 at 6 pm at the GNPAL Center.  The program is open to boys in grades K-8 and girls in grades 5 & 6 and runs on Thursday evenings from January 7 to February 18.  All skill levels welcomed.   See ad below.   For a flyer, click here.

Beginner's Belly Dancing Classes for Women - NEW!

    Strengthen core muscles and improve your flexi-bilty while having fun!  Classes will be held the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 am starting March 13.  For women 18 and older.  Class is limited to 15.  Wear comfortable clothing.  Instructor:  Erina.

Fee: None but GNPAL Membership required

 

 

Sign-Ups for "Team Speed" Track Club

The Greater Norristown PAL Track Club will start practice on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Roosevelt Field. 

Registrations are now being taken at the GNPAL Center, 340 Harding Boulevard.
